As a real estate agent, I tend to hear about new construction communities, changes that are going to be made to communities etc. before the general public. Well, I heard through the grape vine, gates will be installed in March of 2015 on both the front and back end of Crooked Creek Milton GA.
Apparently, HOA fees went up quite a bit for each homeowner of a Crooked Creek home and the City has allowed the community to consider the roads within Crooked Creek private and no longer public, so these gated entrances can be possible.
I am not sure what kind of traffic headache this will cause on both Highway 9 and Francis Rd. but you can be sure, there will be complaints if they do not allow a way for traffic not to back up if more than a few cars are arriving at the same time.
I have been told that HOA dues went up about $500.00 for each homeowner a year and that their may be a guard at the Alpharetta Highway, (Highway 9) main entrance. This is the entrance closest to the neighborhood amenities.
Time will tell if this works for the general public but it is coming so for those that like to take the short cut through Crooked Creek to avoid the back up near McFarland and Highway 9, you need to find another alternative in March.
